On the road again
This time the Boston area, and my family is travelling with me, so less time for blogging. Have seen some of the convention. So far, near as I can tell, outstanding. So totally "in your face" to all those girlie men who said the Republicans need to tread lightly on the 9/11 stuff. Go ahead, criticize McCain, chumps.
Speaking of McCain, with that speech, everything is forgiven. The most selfless speech I've heard from him, and very, very pro-Bush. I fell asleep before Rudy got revved up, so I was surprised to read that folks were saying that he overshadowed McCain. But after reading what he said in his speech, rock on, Rudy!
On the terror front, the French find that their pro-Arab, anti-US stance doesn't buy them anything. Same with the Russians. Even more so with the Russians. Looks like a major terror offensive is on - 2 downed planes, a bus stop bombing, and now 400 hostages being held at a school. This is big news, and if it weren't for the convention, I expect that it would dominate the news. And the passivity of the Russians hasn't bought them any peace, either.
And the US, which is the one on the offensive in the War on Terror, has not seen another attack on our soil. There is a lesson there, I think.
