Some sad blogospheric news - a death in the family, if you will. Christiana, wife of Mike Hendrix, of Cold Fury, was killed in a motorcycle accident.
When I stopped blogging, I curtailed my daily reads, and Cold Fury was one that I lost track of. Didn't even know Mike was married. But I'd actully met Mike F2F, and enjoyed the meetup. Plus, CF was the source of one the most searched for items in the referrer logs - the "ropekid-liberals.jpg" image.
A sad day. Drop by, leave some virtual condolences, a toast and a prayer.
And today's post means to enlighten us about how we just really don't understand Islam, and gave a handful of Muslim writers the pages of the Outlook section to educate us. Individual articles:
Strangely, not terribly educational. Would it surprise you to learn that the problem with Islamic terrorists is not something from within Islam at all, but rather the US? Yes, we are the problem. I mean, until Jerry Falwell said something about Islam, there was no sympathy or support for the Taliban and bin Laden in Pakistan. We responded to force with force, and that just makes the original force users mad. Oh, and read the whole section, and you can find that the problem with is Iran is not actually in Iran, with its open support for terrorism, open defiance of the UN and IAEA, and its holding of American citizens as hostages - well, let me just let you guess where the problem really is.
Pure, unadulterated crap. But the kind of opinions our "opinion makers" want you to have.

But the post title here is what moved me, finally, in such a way, that I had to blog again.
Nothing could be clearer, that we are well and truly doomed. Because it is important that the leading Democrat candidate for President has shown the merest glimpse of cleavage.
